舊傘子

今天帶了一把舊傘子出去, 那是我中學時代用過的, 亦應該是爸媽買給我的第一把傘子。

後來也許因為它太重, 便被留在家中的某角落...

它的生命大概有三份一時間在服務著, 全都是打風落雨的日子, 其餘的就都躲在那個沒有人留意的角落裡。傘子生來本就是要冒著風雨戰鬥, 留在家中或許可以繼續快快樂樂地冬眠, 但卻失去了它意義, 所以今天決定帶它再次外出, 舊是舊了點, 也好像縮少了點, 但它卻仍非常硬淨...

雖不知可以再活多少年, 但戰士死在戰場上, 總比偷生在屋簷下更有意思!

鏡頭膠環白化?

很多人都怕鏡頭膠環白化，但其實那些大部份都只是污蹟！

這是頗新的鏡頭，亦不多用，所以跟本就不可能變質得那麼快。今天早上，連同一隻 Pentax 目鏡出來一同清潔，用的只是綿花棒，清潔後如新的一樣：

用計算機的角度來看, 這無非是等同於 online algorithm

每逢要用到 online algorithm, 一是因為 problem space 會隨時間改變, 二是因為根本沒有 optimal algorithm.

有些 online algorithm 仍可達到 optimal solution, 但此等情況實在有限

否則就是別的境況, 我們就只能用 heuristics, 倘若只是 heuristics, 大家就得虛心一點, 因為沒有人知怎樣才算是好, 但凡到此, 許多意見都不用太堅持, 當然, 道德真理原則除外

Upgrading from Ubuntu Hardy Heron to Lucid Lynx

I just did by following the instruction on Ubuntu website but then the system refused to boot.

Later I found that it's a problem on grub, and by following the instructions here:

The problem was solved finally. 

By sticking to LTS should be better but then upgrading between LTS should be more carefully since you're jumping between some major releases.

馬太福音：從「以馬內利」到「以馬內利」...

馬太福音是一卷從「以馬內利」到「以馬內利」的福音書。

作者首先用「以馬內利」來介紹這位天國君王的降生，又以天國大使命的應許，即耶穌常與履行大使命的人同在來作結。「以馬內利」是指與我們同在的意思，神是與「我們」同在，並不是單單與「我」同在，神的臨在關乎一個「群體」，而不單是一個個獨立的「個體」。因此，透過大使命來擴展這個「我們」，實在很有意思。

作為天國的子民，倘若我們願意過以神為王的生活，我們就當在生命裡實踐大使命。這位君王也就真的常在我們心裡掌王權，我們也樂意叫更多人讓基督掌王權。
