My Cooking System 露營煮食包

This is about my cooking system, all packed inside a green bag:

It's pretty heavy at 873g as you could see, but it's already very much optimized.  Let's see what's inside:

It consists of two titanium stove, one is full sized and the other one was an ultra-small backup inside that little green bag.  There is a simple knife in blue.  Two lighters.  One pan holder which can also hold other hot stuff, like my titanium cup after boiling water, for example.

That orange pattern roll is my wind shield.  That black bag contains a steak titanium knife, a pair of titanium chopsticks, and a long titanium spork.  You can also see an orange silicon tool which is exceptionally useful.  The little plastic bag on the far left holds the tooth picks.  That pink stuff is my electric toothbrush, and the tooth paste was around it.

Finally, a medium sized gray bag holds the oil and seasonings.  I also have a holder for steaming stuff inside.  I also placed some tea bags and dehydrated soup!

And this is my cooking stuff, all titanium.  For 614g, I have a cooking pot, a cup and a bowl inside, finally, a small gas canister is packed inside as well!

露營天幕

香港唔算太興天幕，估計不到一半人會開天幕，但其實天幕係好正既野。

遮風擋雨係基本，遮落葉甚至小蟲等亦不錯。

另外天幕方便吊起啲燈，或者用 LED 燈帶，亦甚至可以吊風扇，照明會比較均勻，俾人有家既感覺！

此外，若營起在天幕底，營內營外溫差會稍稍收窄，減少倒汗水！對於防水較差既營，當然亦唔怕滲水了！另外，因為雨水先在天幕，不會直接打落個營，大雨時音量亦會減低！

落雨時，去到營地只要起咗個天幕，開營或做咩都無難度！

第二朝起身，天幕就更重要！如果揀啱方向，天幕可以遮埋太陽，瞓到九點都不是夢！日出後溫度急升，銀面天幕降溫效果非常明顯，實在係神器！

當然，其實天幕都幾重，銀面 3x3 米天幕起碼都五六百克！若果再大塊啲，分分鐘近一公近！

另外，額外既營釘同埋風繩，隨時都三幾百克：

當然還有至少兩支天幕杆，呢度有四五百克！我就算用上碳纖既自制桿，每枝都近 200 克，當然若果有樹，或者可以只帶一枝，或甚至唔用！

無論點都好，用天幕差不多等於帶多個營！另外，開天幕比開營既技巧比較多，時間亦比較長！

除非環境或路途不許可，否則天幕對我嚟講，實在係必備！

Weight of various components of my 3F 行雲金仔

The following is the weight of the original package, plus an extra one person footprint to be used in the vestibule.

And the following is the weight of that footprint, so the tent alone is be less than 1kg with everything including the guylines and the pegs.  I have used it so many times and so the above weight actually contains the weight of the dirt.  lol

This is another bigger outer tent to replace the original one.  It is actually much bigger, the added space could even host a small camping table plus a chair, and also some spaces for storage.

Finally, this is the weight of the inner tent of the 3F setup, so if I were to use the above bigger outer tent with this inner tent, it will becomes around 1.2kg... still very nice for a tent with a big enclosed area.  Feels like perfect for solo trip.

I am considering a cuben fibre tarp which is around 150g which means significant saving, that would be an option for absolute portability.  3F inner tent is around 87 inch by 28 inch, and that tarp has an optional bath tub of 84 inch by 24 inch at both ends and 32 inch in the middle, so it would leave some uncovered inner tent.  But then inner tent has around 8-9 inch 20D covered before the mesh, so it should work!  But at over $2500 HKD, the decision is really hard.

DIY 露營燈

其實係借屍還魂，三條屍體，變一盞營燈。

好多之前 (mini USB mini USB 年代)，有個尿袋壞咗，拆咗個電路板出嚟，收埋無用。

另外又有一盞 LED 充電枱燈壞咗，拆咗個 LED panel 出嚟收埋無用。

最後，部山寨平板用咗四年瓜咗，拆咗兩塊鋰電出嚟。

就係咁，三合一。

第一個實驗，電路板夾其中一塊鋰電，充電成功，另外發現返電路板上啲 switch，其中一個竟然係較電壓，可以 5V USB 或者上到 9V 推其它野！另一個就係內置小 LED

焊埋另一塊鋰電落去。

用熱熔膠做少少固定，絕緣：

充電最熱都係咁既溫度，鋰電暖都唔暖：

電流頗低，舊式電路板吧，所以充得極慢：

充滿電有 4686mAh，開燈用 0.4A

即係用 10 小時都無問題了！

呢種改裝，應該所有舊手機電池都可以返生

This lamp has been modified as a lithium based battery pack for storing energy from my solar panel at home!  And another camping lamp were made.

露營保溫箱／冰箱

露營要提升享受程度，似乎冰箱都重要！

如果 1-2 人用，似乎 5L 作為起步點都可以，簡單講呢個 size 可以放六罐汔水，之後還有少少空間可以放薄身既食物，若橫放三罐，上面就可以放多啲其它野，若 solo 就已經好足夠：

我呢個蓋頂有內置放冰位，藍色部份可以拆出，或上緊固定：

雪汔水係好重要，秋天上完上，食完野都可以幾熱，有凍飲係好開心既事：

放甜品亦得！

第二朝都仲有凍飲！

呢次我放咗一 pack 牛扒，一包墨丸早餐煮面，仲有芝士片夾麵包，同埋煮牛扒汁咁！還可放多少少野都仲得！攞上山又唔太重！除咗冬天之外，似乎都必備喇！

第二次出動，發覺直頭可以放埋入背包！機動性大大提升！

呢次放兩個珍珠雞、兩罐汽水、兩盒豆花、一包墨丸！

另外我倒咗啲冰種材料入去個內置既冰壺，保冷效能再提升咗！話說佢送咗四個冰種，我將其實兩個既材料倒入去，事就這樣成了！

Residue capacity of charging pack

After four years of usage, it drops from 10000mmAh (assuming the factory figure is correct) to over 6000mmAh which better than expected!

While the one of the left has over 7000mmAh from 10000mmAh (again assuming the factory rated capacity is real), after two years of usage, not bad too.

Refilling Gas Canister 露營氣罐充氣

露營氣都幾貴，個罐就寫明唔好充氣，但充氣除咗慳錢、環保，亦可以免去用淨少少又要帶埋出去用既麻煩，當然，呢件事確有一定危險性，若果唔知自己做緊咩，或者有少少唔明，都千祈唔好搞了！

Camping gas canister could be quite expensive, and the canister clearly said re-filling is strictly prohibited, but then re-filling is very attractive except money saving and environment protection, it also prevent us from bring canisters with little gas remain.  Of course, re-filling could be pretty dangerous, and so if you don't know what you're doing, or there is some little places that you might not fully understand, DON'T DO IT!

First of all, keep the canister to be filled in the fridge in order to reduce the pressure inside so that the pressure inside the filling canister is higher.

首先，要雪凍個露營氣，減低佢氣壓，令供氣罐的氣壓大於露營氣罐。

即係足足充咗 70g，氣罐上寫原本有 110g

And that means we filled 70g of pressurized gas, the canister has 110g originally!

我之前用咗兩次，因為夏天煮食儘量簡單，用氣唔多。

That canister has been used twice, but since it was summer, cooking was minimal and gas consumption was much less.

呢種罐一個人用應該夠晒，冬天就用一次，夏天可以用兩次吧

This kind of canister should be enough for solo camping of one night for winter, maybe twice during summer.

That means I consumed 218 - 166 =52g of gas.

After re-filling, I got:

Even more than that of the last time, maybe I cooled the canister for longer.
